We are currently seeking Full Time and Part Time Family Support Specialists/Paraprofessionals to work with clients in their homes and/or in our Center.

Shifts rotate to cover our open hours from 7am-7pm Monday through Friday and at least one Saturday 10am-5pm per month. Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable source of transportation for each scheduled shift.

Initial training and continued learning for all positions will be completed at initial onboarding, with annual and periodic training throughout the duration of employment with the company.

Acceptional Minds LLC is a family focused support and mentoring program whose primary goal is aiding families affected by autism and other mental health issues through mentoring and education. Acceptional Minds is looking for a patient, kind, and flexible candidates who can assist in our alternate school program, center-based programing, and our family support specialist program. This candidate will be fully trained in all programs and help out where needed or where they fit best. This position will also train in our school crisis response program.

While working in our alternative school program, candidates will be responsible for working with children in grades K-12 in both small group and 1:1 setting. This program supports individual educational processes, behavior management, social, emotional, and executive skills, and enrichment activities. This position will assist with daily living activities such as getting ready for school, preparing meals, doing chores, completing homework, and going on outings.

As a Family Support Specialist training will begin at the Acceptional Minds, LLC Center (located at 1846 Industrial Dr., Green Bay). This training will be center-based and in client’s homes and will primarily focus on life and daily living skills for children ranging from 8-17 years of age. After sufficient training, employees will independently work with families in their homes and in the Center. Mileage reimbursement provided when working in client homes. Full time and Part Time hours are available on a rotating schedule 7am-7pm Monday through Friday and 10-5pm on Saturday. Employees are required to work at least one Saturday per month and a rotation of day and evening shifts based on center needs.

Acceptional Minds LLC takes the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and has extensive measures in place to provide a safe working environment for our staff and our clients.

Candidates must be over 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance with employee listed on the policy, and access to a reliable source of transportation for each scheduled shift.  Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a school setting or experience working with kids with special needs and behavioral self-regulation challenges. Acceptional Minds considers any lived/personal experience as qualified previous experience and candidates that meet these criteria are encouraged to apply. Candidates must demonstrate a calm, kind, and open demeanor. Candidates must also be able to organize, prepare and execute enrichment activities with students. CPR, AED, and First Aid training is preferred, but will be provided upon hire if needed.

Starting pay is $15.50/hr with an increase to $16-$18 after the 90-day training period. Candidates hired will receive a bonus of $100 after 3 months and $150 after 6 months of employment.
