School Coordinator Support

Job Summary: The Acceptional Coordinator Support is responsible for providing Administrative Support to the Youth Services team, in addition to providing staff and client support on the floor under the direction of the Communication and Behavior Administrator, Assistant Communication and Behavior Administrator, Director of Services, and the Assistant Director of Services. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintains contact and effectively communicates with clients’ home school districts. 
    • Is involved in meetings between different programs. 
    • Participates in IEP meetings as directed 
    • Collaborates with school districts, counties, families, and employees to support clients. 
    • Ensures that all goals are up to date and agreed upon. 
    • Ensure compliance and accuracy in daily sheets  
  • Communicates Center Programming updates and information internally and externally. 
    • Prepares client updates. 
    • Gives daily, weekly, and monthly client updates to school and county case workers. 
    • Provides staff with relevant client updates daily.                  
    • Gives relevant updates to supervisors. 
  • Maintains appropriate client, family, and company confidentiality. 
    • Ensures staff understand and follow HIPAA protocol
    • Ensures updates and incident reports are HIPAA compliant
  • Supports Staff Members on the Floor
    • Picks up or fills shifts when staff members cannot find a suitable replacement. 
  •  Keeps the center clean and organized. 
    • Ensures daily center cleaning. 
    • Ensures resource upkeep and organization. 
    • Follows opening and closing procedures. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work well with others. 
  • Demonstrated ability to review client updates with accuracy 
  • Understanding and knowledge of working with a diverse population of staff, as well as clients and their support systems. 
  • Ability to plan schedules within center ratios and adjust as needed. 

Certification and License Requirements 

  • Valid driver’s license   
  • Auto insurance  
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification (within 90 days)  
  • Mental Health First Aid for Youth (within 90 days)   
  • Handle With Care (within 90 days)   
  • Ukeru (within 90 days) 
  • Mandated Reporter (within 90 days)  
  • ACES training (annually)   
  • HIPPA and Confidentiality training (annually) 
  • Other trainings and certifications as assigned 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to safely perform a restraint under the training and guidance of Handle With Care training. 
  • Must be able to safely perform Ukeru physical de-escalation 
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking. 
  • Must be able to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, push, and pull to assist clients throughout the day. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 10lbs routinely and up to 50lbs occasionally.
