TESTIMONIALS
My name is Nekita. I am Becky Krisko’s eldest child, and I was diagnosed with PDD-NOS when I was eight. My younger brother, Ian, was diagnosed a year earlier at three with “classic autism”. I knew I was different.
Thank you to my husband and beautiful children, my mom, our family and friends, the amazing school personnel over the years, my amazing co-workers, the families I’ve worked with over the years, my Danbury PIP family, Cryste̒l Iwanski, Tori Gold, Keri Brooks, Becky Bourget (Captivating Images by Becky), Mary Kay Smith, Tony Moon and Fire-Pixel, Family Voices of Wisconsin, and many, many more! Acceptional Minds would not have happened without all of you!

My family struggled through the diagnosis and waiting period, and had already started intensive therapy when Becky Krisko “joined” my family in 2009, as an Autism therapist.
-Christine, Parent of a Son on the Autism Spectrum
Becky Krisko has worked under my supervision since 2010, but roles should really be reversed; I have learned an infinite amount of knowledge, therapy programs, different therapeutic ways of working with kids with ASD from Becky over the years and she should have been my supervisor. I have implemented her ideas with my clients and trained my staff with her knowledge. Her personal experience and involvement with the ASD community has helped out families that have struggled with finding answers through school, the county, or other services while on the waiting list. Several of my clients’ parents have raved about Becky and have stated that she is a wonderful resource. She is an essential asset to our company and I would highly recommend anyone to hire Becky as an advocate for their child.

My name is Michael. I am 29 years old and was diagnosed with PDD-NOS last year. Getting the diagnosis came with a complex range of very mixed feelings. On the one hand, for instance, I was consumed with a kind of relief that there was finally something out there to explain the social and sensory difficulties that seemed to alienate me from my peers. On another hand, I was faced with the reality that I would always be different and the normal day to day things that I found so hard, and that seemed to come so naturally to those around me, would always seem unnatural to me.
I met Becky Krisko several years ago and knew the moment we met that she understood Autism and its wide spectrum better than most. In a short time, she gained our respect and trust as I saw her work with our son who had been recently diagnosed. A few years later, we were again thankful for the opportunity to work with Becky and our therapy team in working through some hiccups we were experiencing. Her expertise and knowledge of working with individuals on the spectrum was just what we needed. Becky is creative, sensitive, caring, and resourceful as her years of working with children and adults on the spectrum along with the additional training she has taken have given her a breadth of understanding that few share. Becky’s new venture, Acceptional Minds, is a gift to those of us in the Autism community who are looking for support.
– Debbie, Parent of a Son on the Autism Spectrum
I have been privileged to have worked with Becky as she is an amazing asset to the Autism community. Her wide range of knowledge, hands on experience, work ethic, and professionalism sets Becky above the rest. Becky is able to communicate her thoughts and intentions effectively to guide our families and clients in the right direction. With her experience she is able to analyze and understand why behaviors may occur and effectively come up with a plan to reinforce behaviors that are more functional. Becky is reliable, sincere, thorough, caring, and it has been an honor to work with her.

January 2010, our son was diagnosed with Autism. Bring first time parents to a newly adopted child, the anxiety was already high. We were not only asked to accept the diagnosis, but also to accept the fact that this wasn’t going to be an easy road. We would need to learn the quirks along with having therapists in our home twenty to twenty-five hours per week. Becky Krisko was one of our line staff. Upon meeting her, there was a quick sense of ease. Along with the fact that she was very well educated, she has a genuine knack for assisting families like ours. She lives with autism in her own family. She used that to empower and help our family. Her work with us was always very professional but addressed in the most sincere friendly way. Her personal touches made things comforting. Even after her work with our son was done, we still maintain a great friendship. We are blessed to have had her work with our family and to still have her as a friend and go to person when Autism rears its head.

I have known and worked closely with Becky for six years and the vast amount of knowledge and natural abilities she has to work with those with special needs is extraordinary.
She constantly and consistently ensures that she is up to date with the most recent and relevant information in order to better assist families in establishing the best supports available. Becky goes above and beyond to reach out to families and help nurture their needs. Her extra efforts to assure comfort, support, reliability and hope are immeasurable. She is an integral member of our program and is extremely dedicated to finding the appropriate individualized treatment to shape and maintain a well-rounded support system for everyone involved in her clients’ lives.
She truly is a blessing and an incredibly dedicated advocate for individuals and the special needs community.

Becky Krisko started working with my son a year ago. She has helped improve his verbal skills from him only having one/two words, to currently saying four word phrases, and can repeat anything you say. He is gaining more spontaneous language each day.
Becky also helps meet my son’s sensory needs by creating a sensory diet. Some of the activities she does are swinging, brushing, blanket rolls followed by heavy work. She also does gross motor activities that help him stay calm, and remain happy throughout the day.
Becky has not only helped my son get to where he is today, she has also helped our whole family. She is a kind, loving and intelligent person. She has helped our family understand Autism, answers countless questions, and has helped me become a better parent.
I can’t thank Becky enough for all she has done for our family. I thank God everyday for her, and I am looking forward to her working with my son in the future.
